瀬戸の花嫁

今日、ぼくは大好きなアニメが教えるよ！このアニメは「瀬戸の花嫁」（せとのはなよめ）と言うんだよ。

（下ストーリーの中に、１番目エピソードだけからだよ。スポイラーがぜんぜんないよ。しんぱいしないで！）

アニメの名前の英語のトランスレーションが「My Bride is a Mermaid」だけど、ぼくはあまり分からない。「花嫁」の意味が「Bride」だけど、「瀬戸」の意味がぜんぜん「Mermaid」じゃないんだ。分かる人が教えて下さい。

ストーリーはここだよ。この男の人、みちしおさんを言う、夏休みに家族と海に行って、およいだ。でも、およげないので、水死して（drowned）、死にそうだったら、この女の人魚（mermaid）はみちしおさんをたすけたよ。それから、にんげん（human）と人魚のラブストーリーがはじまるんだよ。

このアニメがとてもおもしろいだよ。ストーリーがまあまあだけど、キャラクターがおもしろくて、いつも楽しいから、私が大好きだよ。

じこしょうかい

私は「パタラギワニック」だよ。でも、名前がとてもなかくて、むずかしだから、「ピート（Pete）」も大丈夫だね。日本語の二年生だけど、大学院生の四年生だよ。せんこうは天文学（Astronomy）と天帝物理学（Astrophysics）だよ。私のけんきょうはぎんがのしんか（Galaxy evolution）を勉強してる。

私のしゅっしんはタイの南にあるソンクラ（Songkhla, Thailand）。ソンクラが大きいまちで、ブジネスがたくさんあるけど、ゆうめいなかんこうの事があまりないかな。でも、にぎやかで、いい住んでいるまちだと。

しゅみはアニメを見る事かな。じつは、アニメが分かるために、日本語の勉強するのをはじまったよ。アニメの事をちゃべよう！

さいきん、日本に行って、私の友だちはこのおもしろいストーリーを話しました。このブロクに書くのがいいと思います。

日本のキットカットはとてもおもしろいです。キットカットはゆうめいなあめです。

日本のまちに、とくべつ (special) なあじがありますよ。日本にキットカットをあつめに行きましょう。キットカットミュージアムがあります。

「キットカット」と「きっとかつ」のこえがおなじで、「きっとかつ」のいみが "Sure Win" ですから、キットカットはときどきおまじない (good luck charm) です。おもしろいですね。



In the likely case that the Japanese post does not make any sense, here is some English summary.
- There are tonnes of Kit Kat flavor in Japan, most of which are sold only in Japan.
- Each prefecture has their "special" flavors, which are sold exclusively only in that prefecture. I can imagine people going around the country to collect these Kit Kat.
- There is even a Kit Kat museum in Japan.
- Also, interestingly, "Kit Kat" has similar pronunciation to きっとかつ which means "Surely Win". So it is used as a good luck charm for students taking exams and such.

さいきん、とうきょうに行きましたから、とてもおもしろいことを書いています。

一番むずかしいことはでんしゃシステム（Train System）です。下のしゃしんはとうきょうのメトロマップです。

 それから、メトロはぜんぶじゃありませんよ。ＪＲやメトロやいろいろでんしゃがあります。とてもむずかしいです。

それから、チケットを買うのはおもしろいです。ときどきえい語で書きません。かんじがあまり分からなかったから、とても大変でした。でも、パスはべんりです。パスで、どこにも行けます。

春休みに、私は日本に行きました。３日間、りょうこに行きました。これはしゃしんです。

The hot spring at はこね. This one is not for bathing though.

富士山 picture taken from はこね. I think those brown trees in the background are mostly sakura trees. We were there too early, imagine how nice it would be if all those sakura trees bloom.

くろたまご (Egg hard-boiled in the hot spring). This is はこね specialty. For some reason, after being boiled in the hot spring, the shell becomes black. It kind of taste like normal boiled egg with some weak sulfur smell.

Mt.Fuji from Hakone lake. It was slightly foggy so the mountain is not very clear. I was told that Mt.Fuji is "shy" because you can not see it if the weather is not extremely clear.

For some reason, they had temporary Doraemon exhibition in Hakone this month. There are tons of these Doraemon dolls, each with different tools, all around Hakone. How many of these tools do you know?

Shopping street in Kamakura. It is very busy for some reason.

うえのこうえん (Ueno Park). This is near where my conference was. We walked around there on the last day after the conference finished.
